Botanic Gardens

The Sisks and the Behnkes went on a Behnke-Sisk outing yesterday to the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth… a beautiful way to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph.

As these pictures may show you, I learned an important lesson yesterday: Don’t put sunscreen on your kid’s eyes when your kid rubs her eyes when she’s tired. The photos don’t quite show just how red Molly’s eyes were, but it didn’t look comfortable for my little one. I’m still learning how to be a dad.

It was an awesome day spent with awesome friends. I love the Botanic Gardens – if any of y’all want some pro bono family pictures taken there, let us know, we’re trying to build our portfolio (they don’t have to be taken at the Botanic Gardens, of course, anywhere bright or pretty will do).

Beautiful! We hope to get there some day. I thought it was “botanical”–but bow to your having been there.

I called it the Botanical Gardens forever but, alas, I believe the curse of clarity spans generations…

Apparently, the difference between ‘Botanic gardens’ and ‘Botanical gardens’ is like the difference between the ‘flammable gardens’ and ‘inflammable gardens…’ However, the sign says ‘Botanic gardens’ as you drive in to the place and on it’s website.
